In Rayomo, the "Where will you share it?" picker automatically sets the right ratio and recommended resolution for the platform you choose.
Format table
| Option | Ratio | Image | Video | Where to use it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| YouTube Shorts | 9:16 | 1K | 1080p | Shorts |
| Instagram Reels | 9:16 | 1K | 1080p | Reels, Facebook Reels |
| TikTok | 9:16 | 1K | 1080p | TikTok |
| Story | 9:16 | 1K | 720p | Instagram/Facebook/WhatsApp stories |
| Instagram Post | 4:5 | 1K | 720p | Feed posts (takes up the most space) |
| Square | 1:1 | 1K | 720p | Profile photo, shop listing, carousel |
| YouTube | 16:9 | 2K | 1080p | YouTube video, thumbnail, presentation, web banner |
| Cinema | 21:9 | 2K | 1080p | Cinematic scene, widescreen |
Resolutions are default recommendations and may vary by tier.
Steps
- Find the Where will you share it? section on the template page.
- Choose the platform you'll share on. Your choice sets the ratio automatically.
- The preview frame changes to match the ratio. If cropping is needed, drag the focal point to keep your face or product in frame.
- Formats the template doesn't support appear dimmed. That template doesn't give good results at that ratio.
- Use the ratio filter in the gallery to list only templates that support the format you want.
Tips
- One piece of content, many platforms: Generate the same template separately in each ratio. Generating in the right ratio gives better results than cropping later.
- Safe zone: In vertical videos, the bottom 20% and the right edge of the screen are covered by platform buttons. Keep important details (face, product) in the middle.
- Cover image: For a Shorts/Reels cover, generate a 9:16 image from the same template.
Common mistakes
| Mistake | Result |
|---|---|
| Uploading a 16:9 video to TikTok | Black bars above and below, lower reach |
| Posting a 9:16 image to your Instagram feed | Cropped to 4:5 in the feed, heads may get cut off |
| Paying for 1080p for a Story | 720p is enough for stories; save credits |
