How to star in a viral video
3 min read · Updated October 15, 2026
That dance, that scene, that moment everyone's sharing… With Rayomo, you become the star in a few minutes. This guide shows you how to get the best result.
Time: 5 minutes · You'll need: A photo of you and paid credits (trial credits don't work for videos)
Step 1 — Choose the video
You have two options:
A) A Rayomo trend template (recommended)
- Go to the Put yourself in a video section on the home page, or choose the Trends filter in the gallery.
- Hover over a card (on mobile, tap it) to play a short preview.
- Open the template you like.
Our trend templates are original videos inspired by popular formats, made or licensed by us. You can use them without worrying about copyright or permissions.
B) Your own video
- Put yourself in a video → Upload your own video.
- MP4 or MOV, up to 200 MB and 30 seconds.
Step 2 — Add the right photo
- Tap Upload or drop a photo: pick one from your gallery or (on mobile) take one with the camera.
- Only you should be in the photo, with your face sharp and facing the camera.
Quick checklist:
- ✔ Daylight or soft light from the front
- ✔ Your face fills at least a third of the frame
- ✔ No sunglasses, mask or hair covering your face
- ✔ A similar angle to the person in the video (half-body photo for a half-body video)
- ✔ High resolution (short side at least 1024 pixels)

Step 3 — Give your consent
Tick the "I am the person in this photo, or I have their explicit permission" box. Generation won't start without this consent. Using celebrities or people who haven't given permission is prohibited.
Step 4 — Choose the format, tier and length
- In the Where will you share it? picker, choose YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels or TikTok. All are 9:16 vertical and 1080p.
- Tier:
- Fast: For trying things out. The cheapest.
- Quality: Recommended for sharing. Noticeably better likeness.
- Premium: Highest detail, 1080p.
- Length: 5 or 10 seconds (with your own video, the video's length is used).
- The total credits are shown above the button.
Step 5 — Generate
- Tap Generate. The credits are set aside from your balance.
- Your video is ready in 1–5 minutes. You can leave the page; when it's done, you'll find it in My generations (we'll let you know if notifications are on).
Step 6 — Download and share
- Tap Download on the result screen. It's saved as an MP4.
- When uploading to Shorts/Reels/TikTok, turn on the platform's "AI-generated" label.
- If you like, share it to the Rayomo feed too (it goes through moderation).
Tips
- Do your first try in the Fast tier, then generate the template you like again in Quality.
- The result looks more natural if the person in the video has a hair length and body type close to yours.
- For templates with lots of movement or dancing, a full-body photo may work better.
- Add captions and music in the app you're sharing to. Choosing the trending sound from the platform's own library boosts your reach.
Common mistakes

| Choosing 16:9 and uploading to Shorts | Black bars | Choose 9:16 |
| Trying a video with trial credits | "Bonus credits don't work for videos" warning | Buy a credit pack |
