Video Replace

2 min read · Updated October 15, 2026

Video Replace swaps the person in a video with the person in your photo: the movement, camera and scene stay the same, while the face and look change. For a quick start, see How to star in a viral video.

Requirements

PhotoJPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC · up to 15 MB · one person
Your own videoMP4, MOV · up to 200 MB · up to 30 seconds
CreditsPaid credits (trial credits don't work)
Consent"I am the person in this photo, or I have their explicit permission" (required)

Steps

  1. Open Put yourself in a video (main menu or gallery).
  2. Choose the source video: a ready-made trend template, or Upload your own video.
  3. If you uploaded your own video, Rayomo checks it. If you see "We couldn't find a person to replace in this video", try a video where the person is larger and more clearly visible.
  4. Add your photo. Choose a photo with a similar angle and framing to the person in the video.
  5. Confirm the likeness consent. The first time, you'll also be asked to accept the explicit consent text for processing face images.
  6. Choose the tier and resolution. Fast goes up to 720p, Premium up to 1080p. Credits are calculated from the video length and shown above the button.
  7. Tap Generate. Videos take 1–5 minutes.
  8. Check the result and download it.

A good source video

  • There's only one person to replace, and they fill most of the screen.
  • The face is visible for most of the video and isn't turned away for long.
  • The lighting is good, with no very fast camera movement or blur.
  • Objects don't keep passing in front of the person.

Tips

  • If your video is long, trim the best 5–10 seconds and upload that: it's cheaper and more consistent.
  • Clothing changes too. If you don't want the outfit from your photo carried into the video, use a photo with simple clothing.
  • Try the Fast tier first, then generate the one you like in Quality.
